Plan Ahead - Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day

Hey, I am back at it with some of the regular posts and here is the What to do and Where to go part of my blog ....Enjoy!

This weekend is a time to remember and enjoy the reason why we remember....so first off is the Silicon Valley's World-Class Art & Music Festival in Mountain View on Castro. This event draws huge crowds for a vibrant multicultural celebration featuring 600 professional artists and craftmakers showing exceptional handcrafted wares, live music by big name cover bands Mustache Harbor, Department of Rock, The Groove Kings, Bump City, Zoo Station and Off the Record, festive food and drink with premium wines, microbrews, mojitos and margaritas, an organic and green products showcase, health and wellness displays, home and garden exhibits, a special ceremony to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, and action-packed Kids' Park with the Best Buy School of Rock Stage, a special NASA exhibit, entertainment, amusements and hands-on art. Admission is free.
The festival runs September 11-12, 2010. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
