Sunset Magazine Savor Event : Santa Margarita Ranch

The Central Coast celebration with Sunset Magazine is set and it being the third year they finally moved it out of one of the hottest months of year! This year the event will be the last weekend of September depending on the weather that is either the coolest remaining day of summer or the first weekend of the California Indian Summer complete with temperatures near 95.

But the location is where you should plan to visit regardless ...

Santa Margarita Ranch is amazing

Unfolding just outside the town of Santa Margarita in the heart of San Luis Obispo County, the historic Santa Margarita Ranch is one of the oldest continuously operated cattle ranches in California.

The ranch was established as part of Father Junipero Serra’s famed Mission Trail in the late 1700s, and has since occupied a unique place in the history of the Golden State.

Today, as in centuries past, Santa Margarita Ranch remains steeped in the traditions of early California rancho hospitality.

The ranch hosts a wide range of ongoing public and private events, such as weddings, fundraisers and festivals—including Savor The Central Coast presented by Sunset Magazine. Santa Margarita Ranch is also a working ranch and vineyard, producing award-winning wines and natural beef with a focus on sustainable practices.

We invite you to experience our ranch’s rich history, majestic scenery and impeccable service at one of our numerous special events—or at your own private wedding or gathering. We look forward to seeing you.
