Destination : Walking for a good cause

The recent trend of doing marathons or perceived long distances exercise has surged in popularity.

I wonder if one could walk the distances between the East Coast to the West Coast in local walks in a year? It is roughly 3,100 miles between the two coasts but with incremental 5K and up walks could one raise a lot of awareness and still walk the entire length of North America?

One such event is the Alzheimer's Walk as 5 million Americans are battling the debilitating disease there is nearly an additional 2 million more Americans dealing with helping those 5 million.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's is this fall in cities across the nation and I am participating in the local effort.

I'm participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® because I'm committed to raising awareness and funds in the fight against the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. The end of Alzheimer's starts with me — but I can’t do it alone.
Please help me reach my goal of $100.00 by making a tax-deductible donation. You can visit my personal fundraising page to make a secure credit card donation online or download and print the paper form on my page to mail in with a check. All donations benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association — and every dollar makes a difference in this fight.
Thank you for your support.
