Have we been to Santa Cruz?

I admit my travel radius is only 180 miles in a zipcar

but you probably think I only go 40 miles to check on the Pacific Ocean

which may or may not be true. Let's start our journey at Natural Bridges

This is a great state beach to visit there is a ton of trails and you are pretty secluded from the rest of the world.

Now you can start your walk along West Cliff Drive where on days of high tide is actually kinda cool except all the dogs can't play in the surf. You want to walk to the lighthouse and check out the museum.

You will either end up at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk or The Wharf. I highly recommend going to the Wharf before heading into town or over to the Boardwalk.
On the Boardwalk there is a plethora of shops and restaurants but I have my favorites which is because of family tradition.
Woodies Cafe is meetcute and totally is neat retro. There is a shop complete with more trinkets than you can possibly imagine but the family favorite is a little further down the wharf.
Stagnaro Bros. is probably the best and I can not go to the Wharf without going there first. They have been in business for 80 years
I tried a few different things this time and it was worthwhile

I really know this is getting to be a long post so I will end it here Walk West Cliff Drive and eat on the Wharf because there is lots to do and if you are not in a hurry check out the birds
