#WineWednesdy : BV Coastal Chardonnay
I have mentioned this Chardonnay before as my go to pick up at Safeway.
I just noticed that at Safeway a new set of labels appeared and so did new pricing.
This wine is made of Livermore and Coastal Chardonnay grapes that are in bulk.
That is okay.
This isn't wine to specifically pair with a private garden dinner for two nor is this wine to be used to impress anyone of anything.
This wine is perfect for forty uninvited guests to your house to watch sports on the weekend.
The perfect hue of straw of this wine will work with Chips and Dips or even fancy hors d'oeuvre for an Oscar Party with inlaws and children in the room.
BV made this wine specifically to be a House Wine and that is not a bad thing at all. This wine will work with you eating chicken over the sink or having a potluck.
I usually pop open this wine on Friday night or Saturday as I am finishing up the cheese from the week before, having done three no five loads of laundry now towels and turning on Twitter or Hulu to see what is going on.
Plus I admit it was on sale like a serious sale that meant I left with six bottles for $20. That is how good this wine is.
What will six bottles be?
One for Friday nite obviously
One is a Gift for a friend
One is paired with fancy chocolates, a gift card in a basket for Raffle prize for a fundraiser
One for a Saturday nite
One is an emergency wine because whatever you say about Californians our Emergency kits have wine in them
One spare bottle just in case twenty people show up for a dinner party.
You'd be surprised at how quickly a drinkable Chardonnay can go. This one goes really fast!
