Reading So You Don't Have To : Twisted River by Siobhan MacDonald
While I don't have the 90 minute commute anymore I am still trying to read books.
The problem might be because I am buying my books at the Dollar Tree.
Twisted River by Siobhan MacDonald is not bad but I am a frustrated reader with the format of the way the story is presented.
Why can't the story be told from the children point of view? It would have been at least a little better. Instead of switching first person point of view back and forth, back and forth.
Also how naive are today's editors? Do they not realize that repeating information even in maie versus female point of view is just not storytelling. It would have been better to do one couple's story and then the second couple story ...but because trees are not growing(?) the editor combined the two stories ...this would have been better as a detective story but let's face it ...not everyone can write Sherlock or Shit of Sherlock
Plus...at least put a better river in it
